Whether you’re aiming for a promotion, changing careers, or fulfilling a personal goal, the online bachelor of liberal studies (BLS) at Iowa State is designed for you. If you’ve taken classes at different institutions or need a flexible program to fit your schedule, this degree helps you finish strong. And since courses are online, you can balance work, life, and learning. Take what you’ve started to the next level.

To begin your BLS degree at Iowa State, you must meet the university’s admissions requirements and have completed at least 24 semester credits of transferable coursework from another accredited college or university. Additional details can be found in the transfer admissions information.

If you have already attended Iowa State, then you do not need to reapply for admission. If more than 12 months have elapsed since last enrolled, students must apply for reentry to the university. All international students must apply for reentry regardless of the time away from the university.
