Scholarship Details

Currently, the College of Health and Human Sciences is offering up to $1,800* in scholarship funding for students who enroll in the 2024-2025 academic year. Following admission to the program, students are eligible for a $600 scholarship. As students progress through the program, they may apply for scholarships at the midpoint (12-18 credit) and final (24-30) credits.
*Restrictions may apply to ISU employees

Graduate student finishes ISU degree while on deployment in Middle East

From National Guard deployments overseas to hurricane response and even from a hospital bed, Whitehead kept her gaze firmly on her goal of completing her degree. That perseverance will pay off this month at the conclusion of the fall semester when she’ll officially earn a master’s degree in family financial planning from Iowa State University, through the Great Plains Interactive Distance Education Alliance. Whitehead plans to use the degree to help others in the military improve their financial literacy.

  • 4 year Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent)
  • Academic Records/Transcripts
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA (Program may alter requirement.)
  • Proof of English Proficiency
